Helen Jones, MP for Warrington North, formally opens
the completed
Parkers Farm Barn for Birchwood Town Council.
Completely refurbished and stabilised this listed early 19C barn formed
part of the farm building group now used by Birchwood Town Council as
their offices.The whole structure was racked out of vertical after many
years of inadequate bracing. The roof structure central section ,
substantially made up from as grown timber was supported in place while
the structure below was rebuilt to as near line and level as could be
achieved whilst discretely inserting the additional stiffening members
required. The building now provides much needed space for
works department and storage and has an assured future.
